Dear Creators:

Welcome to the Atomm community! To help everyone see more high-quality creative inspiration within the community, and to ensure your content gets the exposure and love it deserves, we have compiled these "Content Standards", also as a "Content Upload Guidelines" based on excellent case studies from our users.

Before publishing your content, please refer to the following standards. This will help you avoid "pitfalls" and make your content easier to be recommended, liked, collected, and downloaded by other users!

I. What Kind of Content Do We Encourage?

Want your project to gain more popularity? Please ensure your content meets the following "Three Key Elements":

1.Visual Presentation: Clear and Eye-Catching

  • The Cover is Key: Please strictly use a clear, unobstructed, and uncompressed photo of the actual finished product as your cover. If necessary, you can use the AI beautification function provided during upload.
  • No "Solo Acts": Please do not upload just a single image or use a screenshot from Studio as the cover. We strongly recommend taking photos from multiple angles to show the details and texture of your project.

2.Content Description: Substantive and Meaningful

  • Avoid Meaningless Projects: Please do not leave the content blank, type gibberish/random characters, or upload blank files.
  • Share Value: We suggest writing at least 20 words in the Summary. For example: What materials were used? What settings were configured? Any fun stories during the process? What was the inspiration? — This helps other users better replicate your creativity.

3.Craftsmanship Quality: Polished with Care

  • Completeness: Ensure the displayed project is successfully made (tight seams, no damage).
  • Cleanliness: Pay attention to processing parameters to avoid severe over-burning (charring), burrs, or blurry engraving patterns. Exquisite craftsmanship is the key to getting high likes!

II. Please Avoid the Following Situations

If your content contains the following features, it may be restricted from display, returned for modification, or even removed by the system. Please be careful:

1.Misrepresentation & False Advertising

  • No "Virtual-Only Projects" : Uploading processing files (such as .xcs) but completely lacking corresponding photos of the actual finished product.
  • No AI Fraud: Using AI-generated images to impersonate actual finished products, or having a cover image that seriously mismatches the actual file content. We advocate “What You See Is What You Get.”

💡 Special Note: Creative tools are changing with each passing day, and we encourage trying new technologies. If you use AI tools to assist in generating design drawings or renderings, you must check "Partially AI-generated" at the final step of uploading and upload photos of the real finished product. Failure to follow this standard may be treated as a false case.

2.Low-Quality & Meaningless Content

  • Half-Finished/Raw Materials: Only displaying a piece of unprocessed wood, or a semi-finished product that is only halfway done.
  • Irrelevant Content: Pure scenery photos, daily selfies, and other content completely unrelated to creative production like laser processing or inkjet printing.
  • Extremely Blurry/Gibberish: Images are too blurry to see details, or the text description is filled with a large number of meaningless characters.

3.Plagiarism & Copyright Declaration

Atomm is committed to protecting the rights of original creators and encourages reasonable citation and recreation (Remix) based on the open-source spirit, but we strictly combat the theft of others' results.

  • Definitions of Content:
    • Original: project conceived, designed, and produced personally by you. We give this the highest level of traffic support.
    • 🔄 Remix: project that improves, optimizes, or redesigns based on others' open-source files (within the scope of permission). When publishing Remix content, you must link/credit the original author and the original project source, otherwise, it will be considered plagiarism.
    • Plagiarism: Downloading others' images or files without authorization and republishing them under your own name; or making extremely minimal changes to others' project (such as only changing the file name) and publishing it.
  • About License Protocols:
    • Atomm supports various open-source protocols (such as CC0, BY, BY-SA, BY-ND, BY-NC, BY-NC-SA, BY-NC-ND as well as S-D-F-L).
    • Please accurately select your authorization method when uploading projects; when downloading and using materials from others, you must strictly abide by the protocol terms set by the original creator (e.g., if the original author selected BY-NC, you cannot use the project for commercial purposes, and you must credit the original author in the project details).
  • Enforcement Measures:
    • Directly moving/reposting others' project from within or outside the site via screenshots or downloads is strictly prohibited.
    • If a user report regarding suspected plagiarism is verified, the plagiarized content will be directly removed. In serious cases, we reserve the right to take further action, such as banning the account.

4.Information Security Tips

To protect the legal rights of yourself and others, please check before publishing to avoid unintentional privacy leaks:

  • 🔒 Privacy Protection: Please check photos or backgrounds for accidental inclusion of home addresses, phone numbers, license plates, courier slips, QR codes containing personal info, etc. We recommend using stickers or mosaics to cover them before uploading.
  • 👥 Portrait Rights:
    • When taking photos containing people (especially minors or passersby), please ensure you have obtained the explicit consent of the parties involved.
    • If unauthorized, it is recommended to blur faces. If a complaint arises due to portrait rights disputes, the platform will cooperate with the rights holder to remove the content in accordance with the law.

III. Violation Handling Process

To maintain a good community atmosphere, we will take the following measures depending on the severity of the violation:

  1. Optimization Reminder: For content with minor craftsmanship flaws or overly simple descriptions, we will remind you to optimize via an onsite message. Once optimized, normal exposure can be restored.
  2. Display Restriction: For repetitive uploads, plagiarism, or extremely low-quality content, the system will automatically lower its display weight. (For details on repetitive content, please visit: https://www.atomm.com/blog/2022-content-visibility )
  3. Removal: For behavior involving cheating, false advertising, or multiple postings of valueless content, we will remove the content.

We will not disclose all detection details to prevent abuse; if you have any objections, please refer to the appeal methods in the detailed User Conduct Guidelines.

💡 Tips:

Quality inspiration often comes from authentic sharing. If you fail during the production process, we welcome you to ask for help in the comments section of similar craft projects. But if the goal is to showcase your project, please be sure to present your best results!

Let's build a high-quality creator community together! ✨

❓ FAQ

Q1: What is "Similar/Duplicate Content"? Why is it restricted?

A1: To ensure all users can see fresh content in the community, we discourage repetitive posting.

  • Duplicate Content: Refers to posting content that is exactly the same or has very high image/text similarity (>80%) multiple times within a short period.
  • Similar Content: If it involves different designs of the same type of item (e.g., all are wreaths/tag decorations, and the uploaded projects differ only in the design pattern), we suggest using the "Edit" function to update the original project. Please upload similar design files within the same project instead of creating a new one.
  • Consequences: Duplicate and similar content will be automatically collapsed or down-ranked by the system and will not receive normal traffic exposure.

Q2: What are the criteria for Project Upload Reward Points? Can Remix projects earn points?

A2: Simply uploading does not guarantee points. Your project must first reach the "Points Distribution Standard." Then, a reward ranging from 500 to 800 points will be granted based on whether the project includes "detailed tutorial steps":

  • Visual Proof: The cover must be clear, and the details page must include photos of the real finished product (not just software screenshots).
  • Substantive Content: The text description must be no less than 20 words, and not gibberish or meaningless filler.
  • Download Count: The file download count needs to reach 10 or more (inclusive).
  • File Completeness: The project must contain an XCS processing file. (Note: Points will be revoked for content determined to be reposted, plagiarized, or in violation of rules.)
  • Remix Projects: For Remix content, Atomm encourages all users to improve, optimize, or redesign based on others' open-source files (within the scope of permission). However, Remix projects without significant changes(such as maintaining the original design but only changing the consumable type, or projects made using Smart Templates & Generator) do not fall within the scope of point rewards. Creators are encouraged to innovate and improve more.

Q3: I only have design files but haven't produced the physical object yet. Can I upload it first?

A4Of course! This is usually because your cover image is not clear enough, lacks detailed photos, or the text description is too short. Please follow the tips in the onsite message, click "Edit" to add clear images or richer descriptions. After saving the changes, the system will re-review it. Once passed, normal display and recommendation will be restored.

Q5: I modified someone else's open-source file (e.g., changed dimensions or added patterns). Is this Original or Remix?

A5: This falls under Remix. Please be sure to link to the original project when publishing and thank the original author in the description. This is not only respect for copyright but also the open-source spirit advocated by the Atomm community.

  • Original: A project conceived and designed by you completely from scratch (from 0 to 1).
  • Plagiarism: Publishing someone else's project as your own without modification or with only minimal changes (e.g., changing the file name) is strictly prohibited.

Q6: I found a material with a License. Can I use it for commercial purposes directly?

A6It depends on the specific agreement set by the creator. Please carefully check the License icon on the project page:

  • If it includes the NC (Non-Commercial) symbol: It cannot be used for commercial purposes (e.g., selling finished products).
  • If it includes the ND (No Derivatives) symbol: You cannot modify the original file.
  • If it is CC0 or only has BY (Attribution): Usually, there are fewer restrictions, but you must credit the original author according to the agreement. (Respecting the agreement is the cornerstone of protecting the community ecosystem; violating commercial use rules may face legal risks.)
