Step1: Create the mirror

Engraved Mirror with wooden frame instruction: step 1 - Create the mirror
Preview

Create a sharp, black and white image for your mirror.  Remember that mirror engravings can't reproduce shades of gray

Place the mirror on spacers with the work area to avoid flash-back burns on the front of the glass

Engrave the image onto the BACK of the mirror after reversing the image.

I use the Trace tool and to a score to enhance and highlight the image on the glass

Step2: Cut out the frame

The frame can be cut out of any material, as long as the Spacer piece is the same, or slightly thicker, than the mirror.  The frame can be resized to accomodate different mirror sizes.

Using a contrasting color material can enhance the look of your final product.
