Information

We all have things we never get around to doing. Now you can by making your own round TUIT. They're so hard to find that it's better to make them. By getting a round TUIT you'll finally feel accomplished.

Instruction

1

Step1: Select a material

Several years ago, I encountered a similar concept. Upon acquiring my xTool F2 recently, I recalled this idea and decided to recreate it. These designs offer a wide range of possibilities. This was merely a basic, initial attempt at design and creation for me.

2

Step2: 40mm Round

These were designed to have a diameter of 40mm. If using a wood product, it is recommended to cut out your rounds prior to applying the design elements. It is believed that these could be applied to the 40mm Blank Commemorative Coins that are readily available. All power, speed and lines per cm settings should be in accordance with the material you select to use.

3

Step3: Batch Fill

Once you have your medium ready to go place them on the baseplate. Draw a rectangle around one of them and then use the Batch Fill tool in the Applications menu. Once the Batch Fill has put a rectangle around all your pieces, apply the Front design on your piece. All elements of the design were left ungrouped to allow everyone the opportunity to change the design as they wish. Once you are finished with any changes you can Group the elements together again for ease of placement on the piece.

Once that is done use the Batch Fill tool again to apply the design to all the other pieces.

4

Step4: Score and Engrave

Score and engrave using the above settings for the front face. These settings are for 3mm Basswood. Using Basswood it took less than 50 seconds to complete the front of 4 tokens.

Obviously different materials will require different settings. Since these were only made with Basswood at this time there are no other settings I can share at this time.

5

Step5: Flip the tokens

Once finished flip all the tokens over on the baseplate.

6

Step6: Batch Fill

Follow Step 3 above to set up the back of each token.

7

Step7: Score and Engrave

Once the batch fill is complete Score and Engrave the backs of each token using the same settings from step 4 above.
