Information

This is my first project using frosted acrylic and it turned out really well.

Step1: Material

This materiel is 3mm frosted black perspex acrylic and it is now my favourite acrylic for engraving.

The matte surface engraves really well and gives a really nice contrast between the black background and light grey engraving.

I'd recommend doing some tests first to find the settings that work best with your laser.

Step2: cut and engrave

This frosted acrylic cuts better than most other acrylics I've tried and the engraving stands out really nice on the matte background.

These are the settings I used with the 5w D1 laser.

I would recommend using the materiel test array feature to find the best settings for your laser.
