      Laser-cut wooden Halloween lantern with spooky motifs on all sides and the top. The lantern is openable, includes a handle and a hanging loop, and is designed for battery-powered candles only (no open flame). Made from 3 mm birch plywood, it is a safe and decorative accessory for Halloween nights, parties, or autumn décor.

Step1

Specifications:

Material: 3 mm birch plywood

Size: Approx. 20–25 cm tall (scalable)

Design: Halloween-themed cut-outs on all sides and top

Features:

Opening door with small handle

Carrying loop on top

Stable slot-together construction

Lighting: Battery-powered candle (LED tea light) – no real flame

Assembly: Glue recommended for strength

Bill of Materials (BOM):

3 mm birch plywood (3–4 A4 sheets depending on size)

xTool S1 (20W)

Wood glue

LED candle (battery powered)

Optional: clear varnish or paint for finish

Laser Settings (xTool S1 – 20W):

Cutting: 100% power, 6–8 mm/s, Air Assist ON

Engraving (details, motifs): 35–40% power, 120 mm/s, 318 LPI

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the design

Lantern panels with Halloween motifs (pumpkins, bats, ghosts, etc.).

Add a hinged/openable door with small handle.

Add loop for carrying on the top.

Cut & engrave

Place 3 mm plywood in the laser.

Engrave motifs first, then cut panels and top.

Assemble the lantern

Glue sides together.

Attach opening door with small hinges or wooden joint.

Add handle and loop on top.

Finishing

Sand edges lightly.

Optionally paint in Halloween colors (black, orange, white).

Insert a battery-powered candle.

Safety Note

Do not use real fire inside the lantern.

Only use LED/battery-powered lights.
