I asked ChatGPT to place a classic witch in front of the taken picture of the moon
It came back with this nice idea, which i worked out in a layered project
Background was cut by hand, the rest was done by the xTool M2
My engraving could have been darker (60% power), so i changed the setting to 70% power and hope this works out.
To be able to cut the wood in one go, the power really needs to be 100% in my machine and speed maximum 15-20, putting the Air Assist to 100% with cutting and 85% with the engraving.
I used black acrylic paint to paint the background and the witch.
I glued the parts together with leftover peaces in between to give it the right depth (3mm per layer)
One challenge here; getting the moon positioned properly (right way up)
Good luck :-)
