This hexagonal sliceform vase holds a bouquet of torus blossoms and arithmetic spiral blooms, all cut with a Silhouette Cameo from 65 lb cardstock. Like Alice stepping into Wonderland, the magic is in discovering that nature's most beautiful forms (the inner spiral of a torus, the arithmetic spiral of a rolled bloom) follow elegant mathematical rules.

The vase itself is a sliceform: interlocking flat pieces that slide together into a three-dimensional form, with scenes from Wonderland decorating each face...inviting you to follow Alice down the rabbit hole.
The flowers are modified torus and arithmetic spirals, forms borrowed from the natural world and rendered in paper. Together they make a piece that lives somewhere between a fantasy world and geometry.
