Step1: Material Prep (optional)

prep your slate coaster if desired. I sprayed mine with just a matte clear coat before engraving. different coatings will affect the “pop” of the image compared to the slate

Step2: Open image in xtool

open the image in XCS and set your material to rock coaster.

Step3: resize image to fit you coaster

check image sizing compared to your coaster.

reduce size to fit on the “flat area”, my coasters have a rough edge border i didnt engrave.

Step4: Invert image and process

Ensure your image has been inverted before processing. align your machine and run software. I used the preloaded settings in XCS for rock coasters
