Deep engraving or embossing takes quite a long time, so it's important to prepare the design properly, for example, by inverting it.

Now align it on the material and set the focus.

This process takes two hours, and slate produces a fair amount of dust, so I vacuumed it periodically. It's important that your material doesn't shift during this process, so be careful! ;-)

With my settings, the engraving is approximately 2 mm deep.

After the process, it's crucial to thoroughly clean both the material and the laser to remove any remaining dust.

Step3: settings

The engraving depth is best adjusted via the layers. Ensure that the Z-axis moves in accordance with the layer settings.
