This Brew Mat was created to organize the portable coffee workflow. By assigning clear zones for the OutIn Nano, cup, and grounds, it turns any surface into a functional coffee station.

Project Inspiration:
I started by looking at how people actually use the OutIn Nano. Often in small, temporary spaces like desks, hotel rooms, cars, or outdoors. I noticed that while the brewer is designed for portability, the brewing process itself can feel scattered without a dedicated setup.
From that insight, I sketched a simple layout focused on function first: defined zones for the OutIn Nano, a cup, and coffee grounds. The goal was to create a mat that instantly communicates where everything belongs, without instructions or added complexity.
Once the layout felt intuitive, I refined the proportions to match the OutIn Nano’s footprint and tested spacing to ensure everything fit comfortably while remaining compact and travel-friendly. I then translated the design into a clean SVG optimized for laser engraving, keeping the graphics minimal and repeatable.
For assembly, I chose laser-able leatherette for its durability, easy cleanup, and premium qualities that align with OutIn’s portable, everyday use philosophy. After engraving, the mat required no additional hardware or finishing, reinforcing the idea that great coffee tools should be simple, practical, and ready to use anywhere.
