Information

Just as I created the Santa Claus board in Spanish, I couldn't miss the board for the Three Kings. Essential to leave the King and Queen a snack to regain strength in the night when they do not stop working.

Step1: Design

To make the design, the first thing I did was create a rectangular shape of 20 x 30 cm, which is the size of the board I want to engrave. This is very useful to adapt all the text and images to the real space we have from the beginning.

We start by inserting the sentences we want to put in. Each one with a different typography that we like. We place them in the places we want and adapt the size and shape.

Then we add the different drawings and place them in the corresponding places and adapt their size.

IMPORTANT: don't forget to weld the text.

When we have everything ready, we select everything and click on combine and join and select everything to engrave.

Step2: Record

We turn on our Xtool, in my case as I have a D1 pro and it doesn't have a camera to center the engraving, I do the following.

  1. I place a sheet of cardboard and on it I am going to cut or mark the shape of 20 x 30 cm. I remove all the central engraving. I select absolute coordinates, this is very important since it is the key so that everything comes out in that same position.
  2. Once we have marked or cut the space of the board we move on to place the board in that same place (previously I sand it a little so that it is smooth). We adapt the height of the laser to the height of the board.
  3. We check that the drawing is centered and everything is selected to engrave. At this point we remove the 20 x 30 shape and leave only the drawing.
  4. We hit process and let the Xtool record everything. It usually takes a long time so you have to be patient. You can stop the process from time to time to check that everything is going well and is being recorded to your liking.

Step3: Finished work

Once the machine has finished engraving, we have everything ready.

I like to give it a special oil for cutting boards that gives it a much more beautiful finish. Here's an example.

And so we have our board ready to put an appetizer to their majesties.
