Information
I took Kévin Archambault's lovely mother-tree, used contrasting woods and added a little colour and added a hanging hole. Then added 3 different mothers day sayings. Also I took the top-knot off the child's head changing it from mother & daughter to mother & child (well in my mind, anyway)

Step1: Using a 300 x 600 sheet of basswood
Preview
This will give you 9 baubles for the bottom and middle layers. Paint the middle layer green (or red)

Step2: Using 300 x 300 rosewood or walnut mdf
Again gives you 9 top layers. This is cut from the back, so you can use a high cut setting and not worry about burn marks

Step3: Glue it together
then add hanging string
