Step1: Add text

To build the base of the design, I began by adding in text.  I wanted to fill most of the area with the class of and 24 text boxes.  I noticed that you can unlock a textbox and size it independently to get the squished text effect on the “of”

I then added a square to fill in the middle of the design.  I then added in an outline of all the elements.

To create the slot for the money, I first added a large square measuring 1.25 inches across.  I then subtracted this from the design.  I then added a smaller square 1 inch across.  I added back this space using the Combe and unit tool.

Step4: settings

The settings are for the D1 5W laser.  You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.

Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
