      Use this project idea to compliment the gift most graduates want, money.  This is an easy project that runs in a few minutes on your xtool laser.

Step1: Begin with the Image

For this project, I created a simple image of a student dreaming of graduation using an AI image generator.

Step2: Add in Text
Preview

Next we can add in some text or a memorable message to the graduate.  Note that to place text on a new line it is best to just use a new textbox.

Step3: Score

Next, I added a large 2024 text to be the background for the piece.  We will set this up to score.

Step4: Outline

Finally, we need to add an outline of the design since this will be a cutout.

Step5: Settings

The settings are for the D1 5W laser.  You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.

Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
