Many tools are available for teachers to ensure that all students have equal opportunities to participate in class, and this project offers a distinctive design for such a tool.
The base platform for this project is the shape of a tree. XCS has several plant shapes available, so I went with one of the built in vectors.
Next, add in a text box to label the design. You may omit this part if you prefer.
Since I am working with the D1, I have a limited workspace. Some lasers with a infeed could do this project without spitting it. To accommodate the limited workspace, I will split the design by using the subtract tool.
The settings are for the D1 5W laser. You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.
Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
The last step is to add in the dowels. I have another how-to that shows how you can use your l aser to cut the dowels easily. Once you have the dowels, just glue them in the holes and assemble the tree.
