Basic, Themed gift card holder can use the concept to make any theme. This file is specifically for graduation.
Decide on the theme and what you might want to be on top of your card holder. It could be balloons, a heart, stars, a cake, anything that fits your concept. Unite it to the outline of your card holder (it should be slightly larger than you gift card.
Duplicate your image made in the previous step. add any inserts you may need for your top design (holes to add strings for balloons, scores to know where to add images) in my case I put in two holes to put the tassel through.
Place a rectangle inside one of the duplicates. One will be the front that you can see the card through. You just need the rectangle to be smaller than the card being used, you can leave space to add in words as desired as well.
Make a rectangle the same size as the outside of your first rectangle, inside of it place another rectangle that is bigger than the size of the card but smaller than the outside rectangle. Offset it to the top center of the outer rectangle and use the subtract function to make a large “U” shape.
Place your images close together. Set all to cut or engrave as needed and select your material type.
Assemble the pieces and glue the duplicates to the front and back and the hollow in the middle. (I would recommend a good wood glue). Add any decorations or colors (paints and stains) as desired. Once the glue is set you can slide your gift card in and gift it away.
