Step1: Get your design ready

I used the design from my rocking chair and removed the lower part of it. To do this create a rectangle around the part you want to remove than select all and hit subtract. Refer to the screen shots.

Step2: Copy and paste

you need two of the chair sides so just copy and paste.

Step3: Make the seat and back.

Make two rectangles the size you need and set to cut. Place lines inside the rectangles and set to score.

Step4: Make your base.

Make rectangles the size you need then overlap them and hit combine. Next make your slots to hold it together. If you use something different than 2.7mm you will need to resize your slots.

Step5: Make your stand.

For the stand I made a triangle then unlocked the aspect ratio. I then stretched it out to get the shape I wanted. Next outline with a negative number. If you do the positive number, it will round the corners. Then place a circle on top and combine to add the inner circle to put your dowel through. My dowel was 5mm so I made the holes 5.5mm so it could swing freely. The washers are spacers to keep it centered and lets it swing freely.

Step6: Cut it all out.

Now it's ready to glue and assemble.
