Do you know DOG? Or aggravation? In german, we call it: Man, don't get angry! Try to build this game and have fun with the whole family!
I've always wanted to develop my own games and why not start with a relatively simple one, or build one from scratch!
In order to achieve a very compact structure for easy transportation, I decided to design the game in Sketchup Make so that it could be divided into four parts.
I designed the pieces so that they can be placed directly on the playing field very easily and don't fly away so easily. In the end i exported all the shapes into a DXF file.
The DXF file can then simply be imported and edited in XTool Creative Space. For example, I have considered adding texts for the individual teams. Also, if you want to have any special rules (a prison or special fields), just add them with a shape or text engraving!
I then cut the file with the above settings.
Assembly is super easy! Actually, you only have to assemble the figures (okay, 16 times, but you can do that too! ;-) )
As shown in the pictures, all you have to do is insert the two long parts into each other and then secure them with a ring at the top and bottom. If it's a bit loose, help it along with a bit of superglue.
You can simply assemble the playing field in its four parts!
I have added a few extra rules to the game:
1. everyone remembers green: this is the base from which everyone starts
2. red is also familiar: This is where everyone has to land with their figures.
3. marked in blue are shortcuts for which special rules apply: Here you can only take one step at a time and, for example, only if you roll at least a 4 or higher.
4. marked in yellow is the prison: If a piece is captured, it is first sent to prison, but can then be moved from there to any square (except directly to the target) if a 6 is rolled.
You can adapt these rules as you wish, e.g. play with 2 dice or think of something else!
Have fun playing!
