How to Build an Electronics Box

Sometimes electronics need a little touch to improve their appearance. In this project, we will go through the process of building a small case for an amplifier.
The first place to start is to go to boxes.py and set up the Abox template. I am making this box 4x4x1 inches.
The next step is to import the SVG of the box design.
IMPORTANT: Do not resize the SVG as this will skew the dimensions of the finger joints and the box will not go together.
I am placing an amplifier in this case, so I want to have the front and back cut out so that I can access the knobs and the ports. To do this I am adding a trapezoid to cut out the shape i want. I added multiple trapezoids because when i stretched it out to the right width, the sides were sloped a lot more shallow than I liked. The workaround is to add a rectangle and join to trapezoids in the middle
Next, use this shape to subtract a cutout on the front panel. I simply copied this side and duplicated it. I then removed the extra side.
All operations on this project are cut operations. The settings are for the D1 5W laser. You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.
Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
