I like to always begin projects with setting up the workspace with basic shapes.  In this project we will use a rectangle to help visualize the workspace of the card.  I am using plain white card stock, so the card will measure 11x8.5 inches.  Of course, cards are folded in half, so we will half the longer measurement of 11 inches.  Our rectangle should, be 5.5x8.5 inches.  

For this design we will add a 2024 as two text boxes and the outline of a graduation cap and diploma.  To get the design, I inserted an image and used the outline tool to trace the outside edge.

The last step is to clean up the cutouts and cut a colored insert to give contrast.  You may want to glue the insert to the inside of the card.
