Step1: Design

To create this design, I first imported a rounded rectangle and stretched it to 12 inches. Then, I imported a normal rectangle and made it 3mm wide. I tried to fit the smaller rectangle inside the larger rounded rectangle. You do need 2 rectangles to make the bag clip. To avoid any issues, make sure to unlock your design. You can easily create this design or use the file that I provided.

Step2: Material

For this project, I used basswood, but I would recommend using acrylic instead because the wood can be quite weak.

Step3: Laser time

It's time to laser your bag clip. Just remember to adjust the settings for a 40 watt S1 laser, and if you change the material, always remember to change the settings. Also, make sure to wear laser-safe glasses.

Step4: Assembly

To use this bag clip, follow these steps. First, place the bag of chips or other goods through the bottom hole. Then, reverse the bag back into the top hole to help contain the contents. Please note that this clip is not airtight and should not be used with liquids.

Congratulations! Your bag clip is finished. Now all you need to do is open the bag of chips.
