I have seen some Wi-Fi signs on here before, but one of my favorite parts of recent Android and iOS updates is that they can use QR codes. In this tutorial, I will show you how to make your own QR codes. Please be warned that you need to be using WPA and WPA2. For most, this will work perfectly. 37/312
After researching how to create a WiFi QR code, I designed a sign using a rounded rectangle and a circle. You can customize it as per your preference. Attached are the photos that explain how I made it - I imported a rounded rectangle, added two circles for the hole to hang the sign.
First, I selected the larger rectangle, combined it with the rounded square, and added text in a chosen font. You can edit or remove the text as needed.
To get started, you need to use the following text: WIFI:T:WPA;S:mynetwork;P:mypass;;
This text should work with the majority of networks, but it's always a good idea to test it before you proceed. To customize it for your network, simply replace "mynetwork" with the name of your network and "mypass" with your network password.
For example, if your network name is "home" and your password is "123456789," your text should look like this: WIFI:T:WPA;S:home;P:123456789;;
Just keep in mind that this text is case-sensitive. D

It is recommended to use wood for QR scanning unless another material can create a big contrast.
I used a 40-watt S1 laser on basswood, but adjust the settings for your engraver and always remember your laser-safe glasses.
You done now your WiFi password and information can now be easily shared using a QR code.
