Use in class to help support addition in children
To start select all projects apart form the backing boards and set to ignore. Remove the text ‘backing board’ and process.
Select the front board and set to output. Ensure that the ret of the project is still set to ignore. Place on the material via the camera then process.
We used coloured acrylic for these numbers to give them a ‘pop’ but you could use wood and paint. Set material setting accordingly. Make sure the numbers you want cut are set to output and the rest of the project is on ignore.
Process
Once all the elements are cut paint the backing boards however you like so that when the front boards are placed over the top you can see the colours behind. You can mix up the colours however, colour ‘number bond’ as matching pairs or keep it all one colour. It's up to you.
Once the paint is dry, use some strong wood glue to glue all the elements together. Once the glue is dry the resource is ready to use.
