Horizontal frame that can be customized based on a Claddagh
Determine the size of your photo, you want to make a base slightly larger than it and slightly taller. If you want to have a hanging name or label such as mom on it then you want it to be tall enough to hang the loops on.
Place circles wide enough to fit the wire or hooks if you are adding a name or phrase.
Set all to cut.
You can make the heart or hands your center spacing frame but either way the method is the same. Take a rectangle the same width as your base and make place another one inside that is slightly smaller than the size of your photo. Then align the top of each rectangle and use the “subtract” function.
After place a heart along the bottom and use the “unite” function.
You can place a smaller heart inside if you desire. Set all to cut.
Take a rectangle the same size as the two from the heart step and find a hand image that you like. Trace the hands image (try searching for claddagh hands or hands holding) and the “unite” the hands with the top of the smaller rectangle. Align the smaller rectangle to the center and set all to cut.
Write out the name or phrase you would like in a font that connects all the letters, mess with the spacing and unite as needed and then put in circles to hang. Set to cut.
Cut and assemble with the hollow-top frame in the center. Wood glue and allow to dry. Insert your photo and make a stand if desired or add magnets or photo hanging hardware.
After adding the photo add the name or phrase for a 3D effect.
Paint, stain or treat as desired.
