Information
Creating necklaces and bracelets is a wonderful hobby for both young people and adults. Adding custom-engraved charms can be a distinctive touch to your next piece. This project will demonstrate how the xTool laser can assist in crafting such intricate designs, cutting and engraving them with exceptional precision.

Instruction
1
Step1: Insert the designs

Using generative AI it is easy to create all sorts of characters or clip art for charms like these.  I have added three as examples, but you can explore many options for your own project.

2
Step2: Outline

With the images inserted, now let's use the outline tool to create a boarder, which will be used to cut out the charm.  Simply select the image, then select the outline tool.  The tool will pop up a box with options to edit the outline trace.  For this project I recommend .02 for the outline.  Basically you want the padding to be somewhat proportional with the size of the design.

Step3: Add Hole for string

Next, let's add in a circle to cut out a hole for the string to pass through.

4
Step4: Settings

The settings for this project are for the D1 with a 5W laser.  You may need to adjust your settings to match your configuration.

Step5: Engrave and cut

Now it's time to cut out the design,  Be sure to follow all the safety rules that go with your laser.  Always wear personal protective equipment when the machine is in operation.

once cut out, simply add to your next project and enjoy!
