Information
This is a box created for the card game Hand and Foot. As its a game that doesn't have a box, most people have their sets in a ziplock bag/plastic ware/old cigar box, you name it. But it sure would be nice to have the cards in a box they can call home.

I sized the box to hold 9 decks of standard bicycle playing cards. Seems like a lot. But we often played the game with 6 people (3 couples), and by the last round would end up short on the draw piles, so we added a 9th deck to the pile.

I generated the box using this fabulous online tool. The box used was sliding drawer from:
https://www.festi.info/boxes.py/
I then added the decorations on the sides, front, and top. And since I always had a paper copy of the rules in the box, I figured why not just engrave them on the bottom of the inner and outer boxes, since I can. It adds two sets of directions that wont get lost. Of course everyone's got house rules and variations, so you may need to adjust to fit your play, if they vary.

The finger joints are adjusted for the laser kerf. And there's a 100mm box at the bottom of the svg for scale to make sure it didn't resize on import. Not every machine or material cuts the same. if you need, add some wood glue to secure the pieces together, it may be needed.

The set was sized and built using 6mm Basswood Plywood. The project uses about 2 1/2 sheets to complete just due to the size of the box.

I created the project on the xTool M1 10W machine with the air assist and honeycomb panel.
I'm also new to the machine and to xTool. First project. So if you've got more efficient settings, by all means use your preferred settings. But these let me cut through the 6mm bass with no charring to the wood.

Hope you enjoy. I'm off to play cards.

Step1: Cut materials

There are three files.  Review files, and adjust placement on your materials.  I had 12" x 12" x 6mm stock.  So I arranged the cuts based on these materials.  The Project takes 3 sheets.

2
Step2: Assemble Inner Box

At this point, its taking the 5 pieces from the inner box xcs file and assembling the box.  I'd suggest running this file first and verifying fit before taking the time to cut the outer box.  This box is sized for playing cards measuring: (3.5 by 2.5 inches [8.9 cm × 6.4 cm]).  These are standard playing cards.

If the finger joints need additional support, use wood glue to secure the sides and base to each other.

Step3: Assemble Outer Box

Outer Box files are two files, as they didn't fit on 1 piece of wood.

Same process as inner box assembly.
