Instruction
1
Step1: Design Space
Preview

Start with a simple rectangle to provide a easy to follow workspace for your business card.  I am using a 3.5x2 inch card for this project.

2
Step2: Generate a QR Code
Preview

The template I have included has a QR code for my website.  You will want to delete this from the template and insert your own.  XCS has a very easy to use tool to generate your own.  First copy the URL for your site.  Next, click the QR code generator tool on the left hand tool bar of XCS.  Simply paste in the URL, then generate the QR code.  The tool generates and image of the QR code.  Just resize it to fit on your card.

Step3: Add in Text
Preview

Next, add in any text you want such as facts or other contact information.

4
Step4: Settings

I am using a D1 with a 5W laser, so you may need to adjust settings to match your setup.

5
Step5: Engrave

line up the laser with the red cross laser, then run the job with the XCS software.  Be sure to follow the safety guidelines that go with your laser.  Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
