Just as the plants in your garden vary in shape and size, it's appropriate to craft garden labels that also differ in dimensions. These slender garden labels are perfect for compact areas or when you want to use materials efficiently.
To start to form the garden label, let's first add in some basic shapes. A triangle for the sharp end and a rectangle for the body. We will also later add a circle to round off the top.
I have set the dimensions of the rectangle to .5 inches by 3.5 inches. This should give plenty of room for the label and for some of the stake to be in the ground.
Next let's move the shapes together and form the design of the label. Just overlap the triangle and the rectangle on the short side and use the combine tool to unite the shapes. Now let's add in the circle and set the dimensions to .5x.5inches. Overlap half of the circle with the top of the rectangle to just round over the top. Combine these shapes as well.
These settings are for the X tool D1 with a 5W laser. You may need to adjust the settings so that they work with your particular laser setup. Now let's copy the garden label shape and place it just below the one that we created before. You can create as many labels as you want this way and they are all now set up with the correct cut settings.
Once I had several of the garden labels copied then I started adding the text to each of the labels. You could also add the text to the garden labels and then just copy the whole shape.
