A plinko board that can be customized from sales to classrooms.
Determine how large you would like your board to be: How many “pegs” do you want, what will you drop down it, and what is your working space? should be kept in mind.
From there decide what you want your pegs to be. You could cut holes for dowels, do circles or do triangles like we did. Just make sure its not shapes you can get caught on unless you want trap areas like a grand prize “U" or cup shape located in a hard to reach spot.
Space them in appropriate distance with enough space for your token item to drop through. Copy and alternate. Make sure if some are going to hang over they wont catch your item.
Set it all to score (this is going to be easier to place the items on the board later) this part is optional but it does help.
Place lines equidistant based on the locations of the lowest pegs. Input the “prizes” or win and lose as desired in between. Set the lines to score and words to engrave. Label the top as desired.
Now make your stand and or your pegs depending on what you based your guide on. To make the stand you can make a 90 degree angle set to cut based on the height of your project.
Copy your scored pegs (unless you cutout for dowels) to another area or tab and set to cut. To help guide the token at the bottom and define the lines make 90 degree triangles or rectangles the height of the slots (make sure you wont block any spots based on the height of the lowest set of pegs).
Glue the parts together and paint or stain as desired. Feel free to make tokens (we determined that the wood on wood would get stuck due to friction) if you would like but I would recommend coating it and weighting it with paint or something.
