  • Start off with two boxes.
    • The smaller box MUST have the dimensions of 3.4" x 2.15"
    • The other box will be slightly larger.
    • Seperate the other boxes.
  • Add two text boxes, in one box add “Congrats” and the other “GRAD”
  • Next, add a small rectangular box and make two more copies
    • Place them on the R, A and D in the upper right corner. (See 3rd picture)
    • Then select all objects and click “subtract” on right side panel
  • Now move “GRAD” in to the bigger rectangle. (In the photos “GRAD” is stretched to both sides but when I cut it I didnt like how it looked so didnt stretch it out as much as you see in finished project.
    • Center and align “GRAD” in the box and right click and group them together.
  • If you used cursive font for “congrats” dont forget to weld and set to cut.
  • Make a copy of the larger rectangle. right click, copy and paste
  • Insert a half circle from the basic shapes menu on the left hand side
    • Place it in the top center of the copied rectangle you just made.
    • Making sure it it overlapping some.
    • Click subtract
  • Now take the first rectangle you made that was 3.4" x 2.15"
    • Make another copy of the box that has “GRAD” inside. We only need the box, you can delete everything else.
    • Now put the smaller rectangle box insize of the bigger one. We want it to overlap at the top. Look at photo 5 for reference.
    • Select box rectangles and click subject on the right side panel.

This is really easy to put together!

  • You going to glue the rectangular looking trim pieces to the blank pieces with the half circle cut out.
    • Make sure it is align at the bottom.
  • While that is drying glue “congrats” on the front piece just above “GRAD”
  • Once dried, glue the front piece with “GRAD” to the trim piece making sure again it flush and aligned at the bottom.
  • You can now paint the congrats, I find it easier to do with way with paint pens because it wont move while you are painting it.

After I cut this design I needed to go back and make some adjustments. I need to make the trim piece larger because the gift card didnt stick out enough for it to be taken out. So my design photos are different from the actual xcs file.

Also, I went back and added some engraving on the back to personalize this gift even more. This is an optional set and can be quickly done just by adding text to the blank rectangle with the half circle.
