  • Start by creating two text boxes
    • One will contain “20” and the other will contain “24”
  • Next we need to bring in a cap. I have one from a previous project I used.
    • We need to make an outline around it. 
  • Overlap the hat over the “0” make it tilt just a bit
  • Add text, you can add your graduates name here as well!
  • Make a copy of the hat.
    • Select the hat, right click and paste. You can paste it off to the side you wont need it right now.
  • Go back and select the hat that is over the “0”
    • Click “unite”
  • Select all objects and create an outline around them. 
  • Add two small circles to the ends of the outline. For this project, I used .25" x .25"
  • Move everything from the outline but the two small circles.
    • Select the two circles and the backer board.
      • Right click and group

Seperate all objects and make sure they are set to “cut” before sending your projects to your laser.

Step3: Assembly

  • Paint your sign! You can choose to glue and then paint or paint then glue.
  • You will glue everything to the backer board just like shown in the photo and you can glue the hat on top of the tap that is attached to the number “0”
