Where is it, where is the remote? everyone has had that sentence from one time or another. this stand might help finding the TV remote when really needed.
Step 1) This project starts with an object from the shape list, this shape looks like a square with rounded corners, once this was entered into the work area it was sized to the desired size. Then a name along the top was also entered. The default hello appeared and can easily edited in the edit box. The font can be changed by selecting the desired font from the drop down list.
Step 2) In this step the name was sized and positioned just above the square, in order to make the name and square one piece it needs to be positioned just over lapping each other. Once this was complete the combine feature is needed and the unite option was selected.
Step 3) Now in this step a rectangle was added from the insert option, this rectangle was sized to be the 3 pieces that hold the remote like a shelf. the one rectangle was copied and pasted to make 3 identical rectangles.
Step 4) In this step I set all the cutting and scoring settings for all object including the 3 rectangles, the TV and the outside edges of the square with the name.
Step 5) In this step it was a good time to make sure everything was centered, this is easily done with the align tool, horizontal is selected. 3 more narrow rectangles are also brought in but only for an alignment tool for the shelf, I set these up on with the right angle and set these rectangles to score just so slightly, enough to see them for gluing the shelf in place and it will be center and with proper angles.
Step 6) I set all the pieces to cut in such an order to try to use the least amount of material, this is a total option. Off to the laser
Step 7) Now that all the cutting and scoring was finished, it was time to glue up the shelf. This is what it looks like with everything finished, now the TV remotes have a good place to stay and easy to find in the future. Hope you try something like this if you are misplacing your remotes...Enjoy!
