Custom wooden beads and charms
Decide how large you want to make your beads. The width of the beads will be the width of you material and you want them to be thick enough the will be sturdy being worn. You also want to keep in mind the material you will be stringing them on. In my case I used leather but I would have made them a bit smaller if I was using string.
Make a circle the height you would like your beads to be. The make an inner circle in the center (you can offset if you want the beads to hand outwards) keeping in mind the diameter of the material you will be stringing it onto. Set them to cut and group them to make it easier to keep together.
Copy and Paste (to make your life easier copy the two to 4, 4 to 8, 8 to 16 and so on). Make sure you have enough to comfortably fill your necklace. These are small so some extra doesnt hurt.
Find or create silhouettes by tracing images you would like to be charms and set them to cut. Put wording in them as desired. Take the outer circle of one of the beads and place where you would like the charm to connect and unite. Place the inner circle from the bead in the middle of the connection point.
Assemble as desired spacing out the charms using the beads and clasp or tie the ends together. Leave some space so that it has some room to move and isnt too rigid.
