How to design, engrave and cut a bookmark.
Draw a rectangle measuring 2" x 5.5". Add a radius of 0.2
Select the rectangle you just created and using the “Outline” tool add a -0.104 offset.
Draw a .25" circle and place toward the top center of the rectangles. Use the photo as a reference.
Assign the following layer colors:
RED - Cut
BLUE - Engrave
Place your clip art as shown and make any adjustments necessary to it. From the Parameters Panel assign “Engrave” and from the EasySet Panel set the Power to 50, Speed to 200, Pass 1 Bitmap Mode: Jarvis and Lines per cm 200. You can change these settings for different effects.
Type out the text for the project, select the font and click “Weld”
Assign a layer color Purple and add the engrave paramenter listed.
Assign the parameters listed for the score (Blue layer) and cut (Red layer).
Secure the wood to the honeycomb, select 3mm basswood from the material list and perform an auto measure.
Place the design over the material and send off for processing.
Once complete use a microfiber cloth to wipe the edges clean, add a ribbon and your done.
