Step 1) This project starts with a rectangle, this rectangle is over sized for a regular D1 so the extension kit is needed,Once the rectangle is in the work area I selected the text button to add text to the project. The default Hello appears but the text can easily be edited in the text box on the right. I edited the text to what I wanted, and roughly sized it to the rectangle. If you notice I have the laser extension option selected and have turned the project to a horizontal position as it is easier to work on it will be turned vertical later. I then used the outline feature and made a bigger outline because of the low hanging Letter G.

Step 2) This step I moved the new outline and positioned it just above the rectangle, slightly over lapping as it will become one piece. Once in place I used combine to unite the 2 objects.

Step 3) This step needed verticals coming down from the main body, I did this by added a rectangle that I copied and pasted. I moved each pillar to the place I wanted them to be and again slightly over lapped them into the main part. Like I did the first time with the combine option I united them all together.

Step 4) I set the laser settings for each part as you can see in the red box they are ready to be worked on by the laser. I moved everything in place and turned the project to a vertical state again.

Step 5) This step more was added, first a fishing rod was placed just below " Let's Go Fishing" and extra supports were added on the vertical drop downs to support hanging hooks for the fishing rods themselves.

Step 6) This step I copied the main text so it could be cut out and go over top the scored text, I do this so it is easier to line up text especially when it gets on the larger sizes. Then it was off to the laser to be scored and cut.

Step 7) It basically was to glue the lettering over top the scored markings paint the letters blue, add a few hooks to accommodate the fishing rod and mount it to the wall and add the fishing rods themselves. Hope this is something you might like to try some day .Enjoy!
