I made this as a birthday present for someone, who loves Hungarian folk art. It's made from Birch Plywood, the design is scored, so once it is cut, it can be easily painted with acrylic paint markers.
You can adjust the settings, if you want to have deeper cuts, or want to engrave the design instead. I used a light scoring, so I can easily paint the design.
If you want to keep the traditional Hungarian colors, then you should use black or white background, and paint the design with the color I used, or use only one color for all parts of the design (black background - white design, or opposite way, or black or white background with red design).
I prefer to add painting to the back side as well, and to the sides.
I am using Uni Posca acrylic markers, those will bring bright colors. You can use other brands, or acrylic paint as well.
Once the painting is dried, you can decide if you want to add varnish.
If it is completely dried, you can add one the jewelry findings.
