All photos will contained detailed instructions. You will be able to design your own box for any occasion.

  • Start by creating a rectangle.
    • For this design I used a 5"x6". You will have to click the aspect ratio lock icon to get these exact dimensions.
  • Add another rectangle and size it to 4" x 2".
    • Again, you will have to click on the aspect lock icon to get these dimensions.
  • Now add the text you would like.
    • You will need to add one word at a time so it can be stretched out over the entire width of the card.
    • The next word will need to go underneath the first word.
    • Make sure the sides are overlapping all the sides of the bigger rectangle.
    • You may need to adjust the spacing of the letters. You can do that by clicking on text, on the right side panel there is a spacing box that says 0, you can adjust it with the arrows to the left of the box. Please see picture 4
    • Do this is with all the words you want on the card
  • Now, one at a time, select on word and the big rectangle and under combine click the subtract icon.
    • Do this to each word and rectangle one at a time.
    • When done you should only have one object. See Picture #7
  • Next, we need to make a frame around the object. Picture #8
    • You can do an outline but it won't have straight edges.
    • So create another rectangle around the one with your text.
    • You want the new rectangle to be bigger.
    • Now Select both rectangle and align them. Horizontally and Vertically. Picture #9
  • Now add another rectangle with the dimensions of 3.36" w X 2.15" h Picture #10
    • Don't forget to click the lock aspect ratio icon on the ride side panel
  • You should have 3 objects. Make a copy of the rectangle that is 4" x 2"
  • Picture #11
    • The last rectangle we created needs to be moved into one of the two identical ones.
    • It needs to be sticking out a little bit so that there is a border around it.
    • Next we need to select both of them and under combine, click subtract.
  • You should be left with 3 objects. See Picture #12
  • Make another copy of the 4" x 2" rectangle
    • Right click, copy, paste
  • Now, make a copy of the outer box of the larger rectangle. See Picture #4
    • This will be our backer that will go behind the cut out that we will glue our cardstock to.
  • Make a smaller rectangle.
    • Use the trim looking piece as a guide, We don't want it to be longer than this piece. We need. Please see Picture #16 as a guide.
  • You should be left with only 6 objects now.
  • Select all objects and make sure they are set to “Cut”

  • Use the backer board to cut your cardstock to size.
    • Glue the cardstock to the backer board
  • Glue the rectangle trim to on of the rectangles.
    • then glue the other rectangle on top of the trim so you have a box with a small opening.
    • glue the smallest rectangle to right back side the box that doesnt have your engraving on the front. Make sure its alight to the top of the box.
  • Next glue the front cut out to the cardstock backer board
  • Finally step will be to glue the gift card box to the frame and backer board
    • You will want to place it on the left hand corner of the frame where the two corners meet.
    • Don't make it flush, it will sit in the middle of the frame so there will be a little frame showing.
    • And the small piece on the back will be they only part that needs glue so that it will be able to be glued to the backer board.
  • Now grab a gift card and gift away!
