Step1: Checking Measurements

Measure your bottle to determine what size the inner ring will need to be.  I made mine 45mm to fit the larger champagne bottle.

It's ok for it to be a little too big but you'll want to make sure it not only fits the neck but can get over the top which is sometimes larger.

Step2: Creating the Bottle Ring

Create a circle in the size you measured and create another circle that is 20mm larger.  Align these vertically and horizontally.  Make sure the smaller circle is in front, choose both, and subtract to create a ring.  Create another circle that is 15mm and overlap it with the shape about halfway and Combine.

Add another circle at 6mm to the center of the last one and choose Subtract.  Set this to Cut.

Step3: Create the Tag

Make a circle that is 60mm.  Add another circle near the top center that is 6mm.  Choose both of these circles and Subtract.  This will be your tag.  Set it to cut.

Decide what you want on it, such as a design or message.  I'm going with "in case of emergency", haha.  Add your words and set it to Engrave.

Step4: Cut and Assemble

Engrave and cut your pieces out.  I used a walnut plywood which turned out very pretty.  I suggest using a masking paper so that there is less to clean after engraving.

Use 3 large jump rings to connect the two pieces and it's ready to hang on your bottle.  This makes a great gift tag, too!
