I made a jig for the xTool bracelets to hold them straight. Fits nicely into the F1 and created on the P2
Create a project and set it to the P2.
Create a rectangle 109x109 and round the corners to 7. This is the basic size to fit the F1
Measure both the actual size as well as the engraveable space
Create a rectangle the size of the actual bracelet. Mine is 40x5. I added a 1mm high box to the right that is the width of the jump ring to help hold it centered and I also added some extra space that is wider after that were the rest of the bracelet chain can sit.
Copy the main rectangle and set it aside.
Back on the first copy, widen the 1mm high box so it overlaps the others. Then select the 5 boxes and choose "Combine". Select this new object and "Move to Front". Then select it with the outer box and "Subtract". Set both objects to "cut"
Cut out both the rectangles. One will be the backer for the other. I used basswood and default xTool settings. You can use cardboard or other materials but I like the durability of basswood for jigs.
Now in a new project you will create the template for the F1.
Connect to the F1 and create a box 115x115 with corners rounded to 16. This will generally match the grid area for the F1. Set output for this to off and make sure that X and Y coordinates are both set to 0.
Create a rectangle the size of the engraveable space you measured earlier. I decided on 35x4. Put this in the center with output set to ON.
Put your bracelet in the jig and hit Framing with the rectangle setting. It should frame the engraveable space rectangle you created. This is probably not framing exactly where it should be so now select the rectangle and use the arrow keys to move it until it lines up with the correct area of the bracelet. Stop framing.
Select both of your boxes and choose subtract. Select all objects on your canvas and make sure output is set to OFF. You now have a template that will line up to the jig you cut out.
Let's test it! Put some text into your jig space. Make sure the jig is set to X/Y coordinates of 0/0. Try framing and verify that everything lines up. That's it! Have fun engraving. For my bracelets I used IR 100 power/10 speed/300 lines/cm.
Tip: while engraving you can tape the bracelet down to ensure the air isn't moving it while engraving
