XCS doesn't allow you to select the location for tabs. But with some additional vector and layer work, you can place your tabs where you want them.
I wish to create tabs in straight vector segments (not in curved segments) and spaced around the drawing.
Please Note: The shown outline was created in another vector editing software. Why? Because XCS doesn't allow you to delete spans between nodes.
Notice the Red layer segments are placed where I want the tabs to be.
Set the Blue layer to Cut without tabs.
Now the tricky part - getting the correct setting for “Tab cut power(mm)”.
I am not sure why XCS has “mm” is here. A power setting has nothing to do with mm.
If Tab cut power is too high, you will either cut all the way through your material or when you pick up the material the cut object will fall out.
If the Tab cut power is too low, you might need to use a saw to finish the cut.
