Information
I read this somewhere and decided to recreate it in XCS. I made an acrylic version for my best friend for her birthday. I decided to re-make it in wood/MDF for fun.
Instruction

Step1: Paint MDF and spray with 2 layers of clear coat before engraving

After engraving I used a wet washcloth to clean it up.

Step2: Cut top layer and paint the entire piece of wood

I used spray paint for this project and kept the cut pieces in the board so the paint would only be on the top and the sides would remain black from the cut.

Step3: Glue the top piece to the top piece and clear coat

I used Starbond thick glue and used a couple of paint bottles to weigh the wood down while drying. The last step was spray gloss clear coat .
