Step1: Prep the file
Position the text to suit your material and workspace. In the example image, the workspace was horizontal and the cutting board was turned sideways.

Step2: Frame it
Use the framing option to ensure the position of the engraving aligns on the material.

Step3: Engrave it
The settings in the design file started with the wood coaster material settings and were modified after testing on an identical cutting board. For reference (note the text is vector, not bitmap):

Engraving mode: Bi-directional

Step4: Finishing Touches
If you intend to use the cutting board to serve food or prepare food, clean and finish with a food-grade mineral oil.
