I created this file in Adobe Illustrator using elements from from Creative Fabrica. I added additional elements, altered the design and purpose, and made this 3 dimensional. This is an acceptable use of their files if you subscribe. There are two options for this file, a boy bunny and a girl bunny.

  1. Open the XCS file.
  2. Decide which version of the bunny you want. The boy or girl. Move that section of the file into the workspace.
  3. Use the Text button on the left of the screen to add a name if desired. Choose a font.
  4. Resize the name to fit between the carrots on the name card. Be careful that the bow tie will not overlap with the name if using the boy bunny file.

Step2: Cut the Design

This design uses score, engrave, and cut lines. Each function has its own color line.

Engrave: Green fill areas. Click the green circle to select all green lines and check the settings on the right panel.

Score: Select the black circle to select all of the score lines. Check the settings for that.

Cut: Select the red circle to select all of the red cut lines. Check the settings for the cut lines.

  1. Check Settings as described above.
  2. Place the cut tray in the F1.
  3. Place material on the cut tray.
  4. Process and cut.

These can be painted or left natural wood. I painted this one. I used Loctite gel superglue to assemble the parts but you can use your favorite wood adhesive. I used Tooli art acrylic paint markers which I got from Amazon.

  1. Paint any desired pieces.
  2. Allow to dry.
  3. Glue the bunny hands on the front on either side of the head. The hands should be partially off the board as if the bunny is holding the top of the board.
  4. Match up the bunny feet in pairs. One should be with the foot pads and one without. The foot pads will face out so they can be seen from the front. The other foot will be turned to mirror the foot. Place one foot piece on either side of the board and glue all 3 pieces together.
  5. Repeat for the second foot making sure it is lined up with the first foot so it stands even.
  6. Glue the bow on the girl bunny's ear and the bow tie under the boy bunny's chin.
  7. Set up somewhere and enjoy!
