Aluminum Handcuff Engraving

I created two images, layered and processed in layer order with the background first.  The background is a solid black image with the same shape.  The visible image was processed second.  Both were done with the MOPA IR laser and in grayscale.

I made the image layout in Adobe Illustrator, tracing the handcuff shape and holes/screws, and used photoshop to mask the image to the design and then cutout the name.

I then duplicated that finished image with a solid black to use as the background.
