Whilst browsing some of the amazing templates and products people share and found a really cute Angel Paw print with wings - the original design by stephyd143 was great but i wanted to add to it.
A little bit of tweaking and I created a back piece so that I could then infill the Pads and also engrave the Dog's name within the Halo.
Lots of leftover leather lying around so I found a nice Tan piece, cut out the shapes needed making sure I had the rough side out - Glued them into place and Boom - A lovely memory for a loved Pet.
Main Piece and back piece are 3mm Basswood complete with the leather infills.
Looks great, feels great and thanks to the lovely leather, it now smells great.
Nice and simple Design to remember our beloved pet dogs.
once cut, you will have 2 pieces, simply glue the back piece to the back of the Main piece, ensure you have aligned so that any engraved name will be visible within the Halo.
For the Pad infills - You can use any material to infill, I used some left over leather and off cuts lying around - I decided to use the leather with the rough side out as it gives a lovely texture, a little like the actual paw.
Within the Downloaded design, I included the Pad infills in case you wanted to cut them out of colored acrylic or cut out leather pieces and ensure that they fit nicely.
If you intend to change the size of the design, make sure you select and then Resize them all together or you will very quickly find out you have wasted material and valuable time.
With the Basswood i had - I know that the engraving comes out lovely with the following settings:-
Engraving.
Power - 40% (Yes I know it seems a little high but for this brand, it prefers a higher power)
Speed - 250mm/s
Cutting.
Power 100%
Speed 15mm/s
