I use 3mm MDF, e.g. from here: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01M0XRPOJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ATTENTION: measure the exact thickness of the material! It might vary between 2.8 and 3.2 mm!
