Use solid piece on the right, layer one with the large hole. The cut corner facing left. Glue down and put the mags in the circles. Careful of direction of mags. When gluing the mags, turn upside down to dry so it is level with the surface. I used plastic wrap so it wont stick.
The other side, uses a solid piece, layered with the small squares WITHOUT the circles. Have the cut out corner face the right. Layer the last cutout to line up. This allows more pain with the depth and brings the mags to the surface. Glue in the mags the same as the other side.
Once dry, seal the wood. Any way you want, but I suggest wax. Let it get hot enough to soak in.
Fill the palette with paste water colors. Use an office clip that fits to hold open and to secure when closed. You can get water filled paint brushes at the hobby shop. The large opening is for a sponge to clean your brush. Your choice on that.
