![[Laser cut and engrave] Laser Engraved Stainless Steel Whale Pendant](https://storage-us.atomm.com/resource/xtool/community/attachment/xtool-community/65b47487-068c-4f56-a805-983a8905f179.jpg?x-oss-process=image/resize,w_1200,h_900,limit_0/interlace,1/format,webp/auto-orient,1)

I used hand-drawn art of a whale and some fish underwater to do a multi-colored engrave on a stainless steel dog tag. Four different settings allowed for a variety of color without having to use a fiber laser! The laser allows for the fine details to still be picked up, even on a small pendant.
I wanted to make some fun dog tag style pendants featuring fairly intricate scrollwork and dot work and a variety of colors. This is the first, and features some fish, kelp, and a whale along with a decorative border. There are four settings for different colors, and this should be a fairly simply open and process design!
I'm using generic stainless steel dog tag pendants that have a mirror finish front and ‘scuffed up’ back (not utilized in this tutorial). The file is sized for a 43mm x 24mm tag, but can easily be scaled up. You should easily be able to position the tag, frame it, and engrave away!
