I edited the two festive designs — a cute Santa pendant and a snowflake dog tag — for the xTool F1 and included a built-in color test chart so you can find the perfect engraving color for your stainless steel.
Since every kind of steel reacts differently, the included test file ensures that your colors turn out exactly as you want.

Perfect for Christmas keychains, necklaces, gift tags, or winter accessories.

Instruction

Step1: Download the File

Download the included project file.

It contains:

The Santa pendant design
The snowflake tag design
A color test chart specifically for stainless steel

This test chart is important because not all stainless steel reacts the same — settings vary by coating and alloy.

Step2: Run the Color Test

Preview

Place your stainless steel tag exactly like shown in the photo.

Load the test chart in XCS.

Run the engraving tests to see which color tones appear on your material.

💡 Tip: Wipe the metal clean before testing — fingerprints can affect results.

Step3: Choose the Best Parameters

Check the color chart results on your tag.
Apply the matching settings to the Santa or Snowflake design inside XCS.

Step4: Position the Material

Clean the tag with alcohol to avoid oil spots.
Place it in the F1 and align it like before (you can use the preview laser to be sure)
Make sure the surface is flat and fingerprint-free for clean color engraving.

Step5: Engrave the Design

Engrave Santa or the Snowflake tag using the selected color parameters from your personal test.
Each steel reacts differently — using your test values ensures the correct final color.
