Step1: XCS file
Open the “.xcs” file in xTool Studio. There are three workspace included
- Card with only the card content
- Card Jig if you need something to hold your cards while lasering
- Background the ‘background note’
Step2: Card Jig
If you don't already have a jig, consider using the provided one, for easier alignment and engraving of business cards.
Place your material in your device and adjust your cutting settings based on the material and device used.
For my 20W M1 Ultra in combination with 4mm poplar plywood, I used a power setting of 85 and a speed of 5 for cutting.

Step3: Laser Engrave

Create your own business cards, use premade one or - as I did - get NFC business cards, to add some hidden functionality.

Step4: Draw The Background
Last you might want to add a custom text or use the predefined one - using Annie Use Your Telescope as the font.
Step5: Enjoy!
